Anyone who is 21 years or older can rent a car. You must have a valid Indian LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving licence that is at least 6 months old. You must show the original driving licence or a valid DigiLocker version at the start of the trip. Printed copies on paper, screenshots, M-Parivahan app licences, and commercial driving licences are not accepted. In some cases, we may also ask for an additional local ID or travel proof for verification.
Yes. International travellers and NRIs can book a self-drive rental car in India. You need: (1) A valid International Driving Licence, (2) Your Passport, and (3) An International Driving Permit (IDP) that is valid in India.
